we had a lovely stay at deans place. the location is super chill and the gardens are just beautifull. our breakfast was yummy with good local produce, and the staff were friendly and always around when we needed em. the room was a decent size and cozy. We had a fan for the warm weather. the terrace behind the hotel is great for afternoon drinks!

however, the bathroom could use a bit of updating and cleaning- the bath panel was kinda worn out and the shower was a bit tight. also, there was a bit of dust around in the room.

Had a fantastic weekend getaway with friends! The outdoor pool was a hit, and we loved exploring the nearby scenic trails and cozy pubs. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, with fresh local ingredients. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Our room could have used a better cleaning. There were cobwebs and some dust that could have been addressed.

The Basic Double Room was decent in size but had some issues. The water was lukewarm and sometimes even brown, which was pretty gross. The decor was okay, but it felt a bit outdated. At least the bed was comfortable, and it was nice having a fan for the warm weather. it wasn’t the worst, but definitely needed some improvements.

Nice place with free Wi-Fi, a lovely bar area, and helpful staff. I still remember how they assisted me in finding my lost barrette. The breakfast is excellent too! Highly recommended for relaxation.

We had a lovely two-night stay, but unfortunately, the hot water completely failed us on both days, which wasn’t ideal. The breakfast was decent, but the first morning was quite chaotic.

We enjoyed a delightful one-night stay in a beautifully decorated room. The highlight was the exceptional on-site dining. the chef’s special dish was a revelation! Service was personable and attentive. For future guests, don’t miss the homemade desserts, they’re simply divine!

The public areas are inviting, and the meals are remarkable, featuring fresh organic products. Unfortunately, the bedrooms are disappointing, with noticeable water damage in Room 4 and uncomfortable twin beds in Room 17. The sound quality of the TV was poor, adding to the frustrations of the stay.

We enjoyed a delightful stay with an outdoor pool perfect for lounging after all the local eats! The buffet breakfast was a solid start to the day, and I can’t stop raving about the charming nearby tea houses like Chestnuts Tea Rooms and The Singing Kettle. Just pure bliss!

Sadly, the wet room in our room was a bit grim. icy cold and in much need of a facelift. The sofa in the bar area felt more like a torture device than a seat, just poor form!

The gardens were peaceful, and the afternoon tea was absolutely delicious with local cheeses.

Beautiful exterior that draws you right in, perfect for dog walks in the surrounding countryside. The garden area is relaxing, suitable for enjoying a drink after a day on the trails.

The rooms felt a bit tired. small and worn out, especially for the price point. The shower lacked a strong overhead option, which might be a minus if you're after a certain flow. Some noise disturbances early in the morning from adjacent function areas could disrupt sleep, making it less than ideal for light sleepers. breakfast service seemed to hit a snag on busy days with some delays, impacting overall dining enjoyment.

We celebrated my mum's 90th birthday with a delightful afternoon tea in a private lounge. The staff, particularly Jo, excelled in service. The children's meals were a hit! For future guests, I highly recommend reserving a secluded dining space for a personal touch.
